YSL have a shade finder online to help you find your shade ( Click Here), or of course you can pop into your local store and get some assistance from the counter staff. We see A LOT of pink when it comes to October thanks to Breast Cancer Awareness so when it comes to timing, what better time than to release a brand new shade of the much talked about Touche Éclat in Or Rose –Radiant Touch ($72 CDN)? I have a VERY soft spot for the first Touche Éclat as my engagement ring was in the very bottom of the box (PROPOSAL HERE!).

The product comes in various shades to suit your skin tone, although obviously remember to go a few shades lighter than your skin tone. It’s the type of product you can apply in one or two minutes and instantly enhances your appearance for a brighter highlighted look. After applying foundation, I apply the product onto all of the areas you would like to use it (and you can be as messy as you like) and then just blend it in very lightly using my fingers. It really is a versatile product and I would argue that it’s worth the price you pay for it because it looks great and much more natural than any powder highlighter I have tried.

You can also use the wand to highlight the top of your cheekbone, down the bridge of your nose, your forehead and around the lips too. I feel like this instantly enhances the shape of my eyebrows and would highly recommend it for this purpose. The pen brush is perfect for easily gliding the product above and below the brow bone. I also use the Touche Eclat wand to highlight around my eyebrows. The pictures show the product on my face and after I’ve blended it in. In the picture below, I’ve applied Touche Eclat under my eyes, along the top of my cheekbone, down the bridge of my nose, above and below my eyesbrows, and a tiny amount on my cupids bow and chin. However, you can also use Touche Eclat on various other areas of your face.

One click normally provides enough product if I just want to use it on my under-eyes. However, for me this works by brightening and highlighting the area under my eyes and makes me look awake like a morning person (which I definitely am not!) You can choose how much product you would like, by clicking on the end. Once I started using Touche Eclat I realised that it doesn’t actually act as a concealer under the eyes, so if you do have bags under your eyes I’m not too certain whether this would cover it up, but I can only assume you would be better off with a concealer or using it in addition to a concealer. I was so excited to try it out and now that I have one of my own, I’m absolutely in love with it! However, for my birthday this year I was given this as a present from one of my gorgeous friends. In addition to not being sure whether I needed it, I also saw this as quite a high end product so I never purchased it. First of all I don’t particularly have bags or dark circles under my eyes so I was never driven to buy this product as I thought this was purely for concealing bags under the eyes. There were a few reasons why I had not purchased this. I have known about Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Eclat Radiant Touch Highlighting Pen for quite a while now and heard good things about it as I’m sure many of you have.
